Hello: I have just installed a fresh copy of xpHome on my computer. I have a
HP670C printer that xp recognizes but won't print from. Device manager says
it's there but nothing, no test page, nothing from command prompt,
notepad......nothing prints.
Any suggestions, please?
thanks

Go to the HP web-site and see if they have XP drivers for your printer. It
is possible they have added them. I'm pretty sure it was a 670C I scrapped
when I went to XP right after it came out. I also scrapped a scanner, now
there are XP drivers for it. Maybe you will get lucky.
Here's hoping,

When XP "recognizes" your printer, it is only installing reference
drivers which are shaky at best for older devices.
Check HP's site for XP drivers. If none are available, or still
problems......... concider buying a new printer. Now-a-days you can
by a new printer cheaper than you can the refills for it.

I installed my HP 670 and used a 697 driver. Worked fine.
