I just bought a new computer. It came with WIN XP and NTFS
file system. Is one file system better than the other and
if so please tell me why? My old computer had FAT 32 and
this is the first time I heard of NTFS file system. Thank
you.

Greetings --

Personally, I wouldn't even consider using FAT32 when NTFS is an
option. FAT32 has no security capabilities, no compression
capabilities, no fault tolerance, and a lot of wasted hard drive space
on volumes larger than 8 Gb in size.

A little "light" reading, and you can make up your own mind URLs

Your best bet is to go to http://www.whatis.com and read all about it or
print it out for later reference..
