View Full Version : Is there a glitch in grouping similar taskbar buttons?

When I group similar taskbar items with the MS Office
suite, only MS Word grouping gives me the quick menu
(right click menu options). When MS Word files are
grouped together with Excel and Powerpoint grouped files,
right clicking on grouped Powerpoint or Excel files
doesn't give me the quick menu options...all options on
the quick menu are greyed out. I've tested this feature
on a number of XP machines and got the same result. Does
anyone know of a fix so I can enable the quick menu for
all items grouped on the taskbar?

This is a feature of Office itself. It has the ability to group its own
windows, which overrides XP's taskbar grouping. I'm using Office 2003 here,
and this option is in Tools, Options, View and check Windows in Taskbar.
