I get the following message when I start my computer -"trouble report
iedll.exe fails. hole does not start". The computer seems to run alright.
When I try to restore the system to an earlier restore point the restore
fails and "No changes to your system have been made" is reported.

It seems to me that a system file have been corrupted. The repair console
simply comes up in C:\Windows> prompt and I cannot go anywhere with this
since I am not that skilled

Is the only way to clear this up is to make a clean install?

IEDLL.EXE is part of a "hijacking" program. See
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/darnit_2.htm and scroll down to IEDLL.EXE

Thank you. I couldn't figure how to export the keys but I changed the name
of the exe file. I will rebuild the computer next week probably got a lot of
spyware on the computer and that's probably the best way to get rid of it
all.

See www.lavasoft.de for AdAware or http://www.safer-networking.org/ for
Spybot Search and Destroy. They're pretty good at getting rid of spyware.
