View Full Version : Why can't I uncheck R/O property on some DIRS on my C drive ?

I just noticed this after I posted a similar report. Heard
anything yet? This pronblm is a BUMMER.

A PITA. It took me hours to be able to describe the problem.
I posted the same question in a couple of other groups, the hard way
and a kind person gate me a pointer to a KB article that seems to be to the point
but worries me ("some applications may not work if you do what it says here....")

I've made a quick attempt at doing the registry hack per the above
and it hasn't changed anything, so I'm still working on the problem.
Read it and see what you see.

Hello Al,
Q256614 does not apply to Windows XP. That article says
"For a Microsoft Microsoft Windows XP version of this
article, see 326549," which is at...
