Can anyone help me out there? I have tried unsuccessfully
for two days to connect my new Dell to my older pc
running Win 98. I first tried using the serial transfer
wizard connection but it kept hanging up after
compressing all the files I wanted to transfer. So I
tried a crossover cable but have not been successful in
trying to setup both computers to find each other
locally. I am new to pc networking and would appreciate
any help in getting my new computer running XP to be able
to find the older computer's files so I can do a one time
transfer via ethernet crossover cable. My new computer
only has one internal hard drive, so I can't add the old
computer's drive and access the files there. Any help
would be most appreciated.
