Recently on my home computer I started getting this prompt pop up on my computer everytime I start it up, I can't recall exactly what it says at this moment, but it refers to some program called Bad Elmo. Says something about having to load the parent pro
gram for it to load. I recently removed a trojan virus and some spyware from my computer. And my computer is running very slow right now. I have run spyware, adware, norton antivirus, and none of them have found anything wrong with my computer now. And
I can't seem to find out what this Bad Elmo thing is or how to get rid of it. I am thinking its the cause of my computer running so slow, but if its not spyware or a virus and its not in my programs and I can't find it, how the heck do I get rid of it?
Anyone heard of this before?

Try either spybot or ad-aware to remove it.

Good luck...

Hey,
I just got the same thing on my computer. Running an adaware or spyware removal or even a norton scan WILL NOT remove this from you computer. You have to go into your temp folder and it will be hidden. When you view all hidden files the BAD ELMO is there and then you can delete it. Be sure to delete the applications that are there too as it creates new trojans that just sit there. I believe this to be a hacker worm but am not too sure. If anyone has anymore info please feel free to email me.
Thanks
