XP WS Can't Unjoin Domain

[Brent Williams]

I'm working on a users laptop with a problem. Domain
logins from this laptop fail with "System's primary
domain password is missing." and login fails. I believe
this LT needs to be removed from the domain and
rejoined.

However, attempts to remove the LT from the domain result
in "The following error occurred attempting to unjoin the
domain: The revision level is unknown."

How do I resolve this problem???

Brent,

If you can't log into the domain then you can't unjoin. I would recommend to
switch the laptop to a workgroup then manually remove the computer (laptop)
account from the DC. Then try to re-join the domain.

Thank you for your reply, Ovidie, but as I stated in my
post, I also can not unjoin the LT from the domain. That
is exactly what I would like to do.

Here again is the error when I attend to unjoin... "The
following error occurred attempting to unjoin the domain:
The revision level is unknown."
