Hi,
I've configured a Win XP SP1 notebook to use DHCP and set
the alternative configuration to a static IP address.
This allows me to use the notebook on two networks.
The problem is that when I'm trying to connect to the
static ip address network, the notebook waits a minute
during system startup trying to find the DHCP server
which isn't there.
I'm looking for a reg hack or other setting which
decreases the time counter so that if the DHCP server
isn't found in 10 seconds, the alternative IP
configuration is being used.
Please advise,
Joris.
