NFST and Fat32 partitions

Does XP Home allow different file systems on different
logical drives all operating under the same XP?

I'm using Windows 98SE currently but would like to get
unlimited capture size by upgrading to Windows XP Home
but without having to reformat each of my logical
drives. I now use C: for operating system and other
programs and files and then E: as a scratch drive for
video capture.

So here is what I hope I can do: I would like to upgrade
to XP, maintain Fat32 on my C: drive and then convert the
E: drive to NFST without having to reformat C:. I don't
mind reformatting E: since it is used only as a scratch
drive.

Then, in an ideal world, I'd have unlimited file size
capture on E: and wouldn't have to reformat and reload
all of the files and programs currently on C:.

You can have different file systems on different partitions with XP. What
you want to do will not be a problem. The bigger problem you face is the
upgrade of 98SE. Do your homework and make sure your hardware and software
are compatible before you take the plunge.

Yes you can do what you are proposing. check Alex Nichol's page on FAT &
NTFS http://aumha.org/a/ntfs.htm and also Gary Woodruff's page on Upgrading
to XP http://www.aumha.org/a/xpupgrad.htm
Both of these should be essential read throughs for you.
