My taskbar has relocated itself to the rights side of the
screen. Ii happened when one of my grandchildren was
using it so I do not know what action had been taken. I
can make it wider or thiner but cannot relocate it to the
bottom of the screen. I was able to relocate and resize
with Windos 95 but cannot with Windows xp. Help!

Hi Robert,
First, right-click the taskbar and make sure "lock the taskbar" is not
checked. If it is, click on it to uncheck it. Then depress and hold the left
mouse button while clicking in a blank area near the start button. Then drag
it to the proper position. It will not appear to move until you release the
mouse button.

This works the same way in Windows XP as it did in 95, 98, and
Me. Although by default, the taskbar is on the bottom of the
screen, it can be on any of the four sides you prefer. To move it
from any side to another, simply click on an unused part of it
(*not* its edge, which is used to resize it) and drag it where
you want it. Note that you won't actually see it moving; it will
snap into place when you get it to where you want it.
If you have trouble doing this, you may have to unlock it first;
right-click on it and uncheck "Lock the taskbar."
