Can you lend me a tenner to go to the pub?

Greetings --
You sound more like a spammer-wannabe fishing for fresh email
addresses. If you truly wish to help, simply respond to
questions/problems posted here, and in other news groups.

Just to expand on the comments that Bruce made, Asking people to use private
email for support is completely contrary to what these peer to peer
newsgroups are all about. You can help someone here and the information on
the original problem and fix will be available to many thousands of users
who may be experiencing the same problem. Using private email only helps one
single user.

OK, here's one for you:
How do I configure my newsreader to automatically filter junk like this?

Several ways. Block sender is one way. Another way is to manually create a
rule based on the full or partial content of message heading and/or body.
Go here http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/tips/index.htm for some specific
rules examples.
