I had deleted a user account that said "Unknown", but
then all my documents under My documents are gone! How
do I get these back? I've looked everywhere!

Well if they've been deleted, then they're gone for good.

Not necessarily. If they aren't in the Recycle bin they may still be
recoverable with an undelete program. I use R-Undelete.
If the files are important do nothing further on the computer that is
not absolutely essential. Your data is still there but the paths to it
have been erased. If you continue working on the computer you will
overwrite it.
Use another computer if you can to download a demo version of some
undelete program. You can get R-Undelete from http://www.r-tt.com/
The demo will only recover files upto about 50kB in size but it will
tell you if the others are recoverable. If they are you have to
licence the program to be able to use it. Something like $50, but
money well spent if you have important files not backed up. I bought
it when I accidentally erased an important Word file for work.
If at all possible rescue the files to a separate partition or to a CD
writer, or you risk overwriting the data you are trying to save.
