I am trying to use the system restore function, but get
the message:

"Restoration Incomplete. Your computer cannot be restored
to <date>. No changes have been made to your computer."

I tried three different restore points, got this message
each time. Is there a fix for this?

Very possible the restore file got corrupt. This many times can be corrected
by turning off restore, rebooting, then turning restore back on. This has an
effect of clearing out the restore point and then new ones will be
generated.

Yes, but unfortunately you will lose all your points. You need to
right-click on My Computer and select 'Properties', then click the 'System
Restore' tab. Check the 'Disable System Restore' box and OK out. Reboot the
system and turn SR back on.

I just had this same problem. I found out that when I tried to repair
some corrupted files it made my System Restore to stop functioning. I
had installed MS Service Pack 1A a few months ago and this service
pack changes certain dll's. If this is the same thing that is giving
your problems then try and re-install MS service pack 1a. The url:
