When I turn on my computer it gets to the WindowsXP logo
and sits there for two minutes. What can I do to speed
it up?
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

If by chance you haven't heard of the windows 811493 update, it causes this
type of problem. Recommended solution, uninstall it. This problem is all
over the newsgroups.

Most people boot their computers once a day. An extra two minutes
a day should be inconsequential. If its performance is otherwise
acceptable, don't worry about it.
I get up in the morning, turn on my computers, and go get my
coffee. When I come back, they're finished booting. I don't know
how long they took, and I don't care.
