After I upgraded to XP from Win98se, I had issues with
the keyboard, unknown device and freezing which I am
working on. In the middle of all this, I get a corruped
user profile so I went to MS help and support and
followed the knowledge base. I created a new user
different name and copied all the folders and files
including hidden and system to the new user from the
corrupted one. Then I deleted the corrupted one but it
didn't like that so I readded it with the original name.
Now I end up with 3 users and a guest login account. I
can delete the only 2 of the users. I think maybe I set
it up wrong when I upgraded. How can I start fresh and
not lose all my settings?

Thanks

Chris;
Use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to save data and settings:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B306187

Then perform a Clean Installation (destroys all data):
