Pop up help windows

How do I disable the little dialog windows that pop up
after i connect to the internet. They would be located
in my system tray and are very annoying. Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Download Tweak UI
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Run it.

In the tree look for Taskbar and select it.

Un-check "Enable Balloon Tips"

You will find other stuff to tweak in here also, so take a look around.
