I get the message

"The connection you selected canot be deleted"

when trying to delete a network connection in windows Xp.
Is there any way to fix this because I need to delete
these connections.
Any help is appreciated.

You can delete a dial-up connection in XP' s Network Connections
folder, but it isn't possible to delete a LAN or high-speed Internet
connection there.

To delete those connections, open Device Manager and remove the
network adapter that the connection uses. When you reboot, XP will
re-detect and install the network adapter and create a new network
connection.

But for my internet connection it uses PPOE over the same
network card, and when sending information it sends over
my network rather than to the dsl modem. And if I use
another network card it still creates a network (as you
said) so the same problem occurs. any solutions?
