Search

[Jerry]

I have XP Pro when I do a search it seems very selective as to what it will
find. Two that I noticed it did not find and I know that both are there,
is "history" and "*.wab". Both come up Search Completed, No Result found.

Any help would be appreciated in understanding this.

What sort of files did you tell the search GUI to look for?

Hidden items are not returned in search results. Use Folder Options>
View. Mark "show hidden files and folders." Uncheck "hide system
protected files and folders." Try your search again.

Applied "Hidden files and Folders" to the whole PC and it worked great.
