dne2000.sys and DNS problems

I'm trying to use some firewall vpn/auth. software on my
machine(WinXP sp1). The firewall software uses DNE and a
file called dne2000.sys. However, once this software is
installed it does not allow my computer to see our DNS
server at logon, and cannot locate the AD or Domain. How
can I stop this service from loading until after the
logon is complete?
