I have 4 user accounts on my pc. I installed the Pop Up Stopper program on my user account (the administrator). How do I get this program to run on the other 3 user accounts?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

'Tis a bit tricky unfortunately. The issue revolves around how Pop-Up Stopper installs itself. The follow assumes a default install of Pop-Up Stopper.

Depending on whether or not you're running XP Pro with simple file sharing disabled or Pro with simple file sharing enable or HE you have to do two things. If you're running Pro with simple file sharing disabled, you can do all of the following in normal mode. If simple file sharing is disabled, or you have HE, you have to do at least one of the two steps in safe mode, so you might as well do both.

Cut the short cut to Panicware from "c:\documents and settings\[your user id]\Start Menu\Programs" and paste it into "c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs". You'll now need to alter the permissions on "c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs\panicware\Pop-up Stopper.." and grant read & execute, list folder and read access rights to the user group.

Alternatively, simply grant each user temporary admin rights and install the app while logged in as each user then revert the rights back to what they were.

Hi Tony,

Reinstall the software while logged into each of the other three accounts.
Just install it to the same program folder. If they are limited accounts,
right-click the installer and choose "run as", then enter an admin username
and password to proceed.
