Hi Robert,

1. Does it connect? If so, I'd say don't bother unless you like to hear =
all that squealing. However, settings/network connections, right-click =
your connectoid, choose properties. Click "configure", on the general =
tab is an option to enable the modem speaker.

2. The dialer does just that - it dials the phone, nothing else. To use =
voice over the pc, you need a voice-capable modem and supporting =
software. You may find that the quality will not be all that great.

3. Turn off the microphone. Seriously, if yours doesn't have an "off" =
switch, get one that does. You can mess with Sound and Audio properties =
in the Control Panel, but the first option here is much simpler.
