I use xp pro with 4 accounts. I use a logitech fx
trackman. If the system goes into hibernation it often
comes back when prompted with a generic mouse driver from
the OS instead of retaining the logitech driver and
settings. Logitech says this is a windows problem.
Anyone with suggestions.

Turn off hibernation/suspension. Also, you might want to go into the
properties for the mouse driver, and see if there's something that does not
allow the operating system to put it into hibernation.
I typically do NOT allow any computer systems to turn off Hard Disk drives
and network adapters. The monitor is okay to turn off, because it never
expects input through the screen. You can kiss it and hug it and it won't
turn the computer back on.
There is a probably a work around that can make the drivers for the mouse
work. But all I can think of is to right click on My Computer, go into the
Device Manager under the Hardware tab, and specifically tell it reload the
drivers.
You can probably set a keyboard macro up in some manner to activate such a
procedure. I just have never done it myself and am not familiar with the
process.
If someone knows of a manner in which to load a driver by running a batch
file or some other such feel free to comment.
Let us know if any of this helps you.
