I'm a very new computer user & I kinda experiment around, clicking
buttons & stuff. A lot of times I run into the option of "compress
drives (or something) to save disk space". Should I always check this
option? What are the pros & cons of doing so?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
You should read:

And, if you are tinkering around with the system, you might want to keep =
your links to these support groups handy, you will need them.
