Hi,

I have a few questions about XP

1) I want to replace my small slow HD with a new one - can I switch XP over
to the new one easy and do I have to pay MS more money?

2) Want to buy a new computer for home - do I need to buy Another copy of XP
or can I use the one I have

3) I have XP home edition - can this be "upgraded" to pro or do I have to
buy another full version ? And why would I, what is advantage

thanks much
JQ

Yes, you can move XP to a new drive.
there are several software programs that can do it easily. Symantec Ghost
and
Drive Image just to name a few.
You would not have to pay MS any more money.

Yes, you would have to buy another copy of XP, or at least another license.

It can be upgraded to Pro. Why would you?
That's enterily up to you. Most home users have no real need
for Pro. There has been a link posted recently with the differances (I don't
have it handy).
You would have to look at the differancees and see if there where any you
needed that
where worth the money.
