Mysterious File Deletions

Using a particular directory for many large multimedia files. Activitiy
generally includes simultaneous file access while file additions via
downloading are happening. Often many files just disappear from the
directory. They are easily recovered using Norton's Unerase Wizard.
This problem just started a couple of months ago and has occurred with
much frequency ever since. Help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is your hard drive has some bad sectors that have
not been mapped. When you save into a bad sector...
Buy a new hard drive.
