View Full Version : Add/Remove Programs Out of Date

When I display the Add or Remove Program screen, the date shown for "Last
Used On" is way out of date (sometimes months), and I know that certain
programs have run frequently. Therefore, it also labels many of my programs
as "Used Rarely" when they are, in fact, used frequently. I do not know if
this might cause some problem, and wanted to run it past someone in this
forum. Advice appreciated.

Hi,

No, it's not critical - just about every one of mine is wrong, I just ignore
it. I haven't searched it out yet, but they are probably just a few errant
strings in the system registry.

This is common. Other than making the "last used on" and "used" fields in
Add or Remove Programs basically useless because of the unreliability of
the data, it causes no problems.

I was very interested in this response as my system is
wrong also. Now at least I know I'm not the only one .....
