I recently bought a new Hard disk to replace a crash disk type maxtor
80GByte. So when I install the WinXP HE, it ask whether I wanted partition
which I key-in 2, one 30GByte & balance of 50GByte for Partition 2. But
after installing WinXP, only 1 partition was installed as Partition 0 and
Win XP did not install the other partition. When I check in Device Manager,
it recognise only 1 Drive C: and the unformatted disk as unallocated. How do
I recover the 50GByte whether as ab addition to Drive C: (No partition) or
as another partition, Drive D: ?

You should be able to make the second partition active in XP's computer
management - go to control panel, adminsitrative tools, and disk management.
Right click on the unallocated partition, and mark it as active. You can
also format it from there as well if needed.

Hi,
Start/run diskmgmt.msc, you can use this tool to create a second partition
with the remainder of the drive space. You can also right-click "My
Computer" and selct manage.
