Networking XP to WINDOWS2000

How to network a mchine runnig Windows xp to a machine
running Winndows 2000. Both are professional type

Both should be in the same workgroup, with identical logon accounts /
passwords.

How you network them depends, you can run a crossover cable between the two
machines, or use 2 straight through cables and a hub/switch.

The IP Addresses need to reside on the same subnet, and need to be unique
192.168.0.1
255.255.255.0

192.168.0.2
255.255.255.0
