I have a small peer to peer XP Pro workgroup, consisting of 3 PCs. I would
like to use group policy so that all users except one have certain
restrictions set-up. I cannot see how to do this - all policy changes I make
seem to apply to all users.

Is there a way of doing this, or is it only possible to apply policies to
specific users in conjunction with a Windows 2000 server using active
directory?

Regards,
Andrew Stevens.

You have to do the results of applying Group Policy manually.=20

ef.asp

The policy is on the left hand side and the effect is on the right. You =
must add or remove the effect using regedit. See Load Hive in regedit's =
Help to load a users settings.

A domain makes such things easier, especially if one has more than 3 =
PCs.

Thanks David. That does not look like much fun - plenty of potential for
completely messing things up! I think I will have to just apply the policies
which can be set-up for all users and then keep an eye on things.

Andrew.
