POP ups andMysterious program running.

Although I am using STOP-Sign to block pop-ups, which has
worked well in the past, I have started to receive many
again. It seems to have something to do with a program
called "wfet" which is running in the background. When I
do a re-start or shutdown, it says that this program is
running and must be ended. I have searched for
this "program" with no luck. Everything not used on the
computer has been removed - I think. My wife's computer,
which is running on the same netork and set up the same
does not have this problem, I am in the dark and need

The first thing I would do is run SpyBot Search and Destroy,

Then Ad-Aware 6,
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Both of them are Free Programs.
