crash during video editing

I'm trying to edit a video film using Premiere 6.5 but in 9 out of 10 cases,
when I try to run imported video (avi) in the source screen I get the blue
crash screen and the error message - "Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal"
I have a Athlon 2200 processor, 160 G HDD, 512 RAM, 64mb graphics and the OS
is XP. What am I doing wrong????
