I recently bought a laptop with Xp home e/d .
I removed unuded shortcuts from the desktops , which at the time included
IE.
I have also installed East-Tec eraser which , when scrambling files has
eliminated the restore points .
When I download a file , the prompt asks me to designate which program I
want to run it . I choose the IE , but this is a shortcut
and I get a message saying it is not a win32 file .
How can I get the IE icon to behave like it did originally ?
