How do I find the speel check on this new XP program?

In order to use Spell Check in Outlook Express, one must install either
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works, or Microsoft Office. These software
programs are available for purchase at your favorite store that sells =

I just found this message and I do have Word installed.
When sending e-mail in outlook express the screen reads
that spell check is not working? Can you help. First
time using this newslink board. Thanks

Hi Ginger,

Go to Start/Run/EXPAND X:\i386\CSAPI3T1.DL_ C:\CSAPI3T1.DLL (Where X is your
CD-Rom drive letter). And then copy it to: Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof

Or download the file here: Replace the Csapi3t1.dll file

Checkpoint: Go to Start/Run/Regeditand navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools

In the right pane where it reads: SharedFilesDir, verify that it reads:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared under Data.
