downgrade

xp won't allow me to downgrade to "me". it says i need to
downgrade to 95 or 98 and i can't use the cmd prompt or
switch to msdos?

You cannot "downgrade" Windows XP to either Windows 95 or 98. You also
cannot switch to MS-DOS because Windows XP is not based on MS-DOS. If
you are having problems installing an older program, then try using XP's
"Program Compatibility Wizard".

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: OLDER PROGRAMS , and hit enter.
