I have 30 plus folders on my hard drive under the
Windows directory that look similar to this:

C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallQ329115$

Can these be deleted? I'm guessing they are for
uninstalling windows updates; but how long do I
need to keep them? Could I move them to a CD then
copy them back if I ever need them?

Looks like the uninstall directories for MS patches/service packs. It's your call on what to do with them but if you ever need to revert back to a previous driver and the files aren't there, you'll be SOL.

Indeed. You keep them unless you are sure that you do not want to
uninstall the patches. I usually wait for about 4 weeks until I get
rid of them.
To delete the uninstall information remove the folder and the
corresponding Qxxxxxx.LOG file, where the x match the patch number.
Then open the Control Panel > Add or remove Programs and double-click
the uninstall entry for the patch. Vote "Yes" when you are prompted
for if you want to erase the entry.
