======================================
"Page Cannot Be Displayed" has numerous possible causes.
Is this a Dial-Up, DSL, or Cable Modem connection?
If Cable Modem, is it a direct Ethernet connection?
When did this start happening?
Try this first if you have not all ready done so:
Control Panel | Internet Options |
Delete cookies
Delete all Temporary Internet Files (including offline content)
Click on the Settings tab in the Temporary Internet Files area
Click on View Objects
Remove any Downloaded Program Files
Close that window
Click OK to the Settings window
Clear History
Click on the Advanced tab of Internet Options
Browsing section
Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)
Click Apply and OK
Restart computer
Try browsing again
Still "Page Cannot Be Displayed" ?
While connected to the Internet
Start - Run - type in "cmd" (without quotes) press Enter
In the command prompt window
press Enter after each of these commands:
cd\
ipconfig /all
What IP Address do you get for your adapter?
Is it in the 169.254.x.x range?
Do you show an IP Address for a Default Gateway?
What happens when you run then run this command:
ipconfig /renew

Please post back with results.
