View Full Version : Fast User Switching

Fast User switching was somehow disabled on my computer
and it will not re-enable. When I check the box in the
User Accounts applet of Control Panel, and click apply
settings, I go back and the box is unchecked. I cannot
figure out why. Serial Keys is not enabled on my PC so I
think it has something to do with accidentally joining a
domain. I have XP Pro and I know I am supposed to be part
of a workgroup, which I am also having trouble with.
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to your Control Panel and click on Administrative Tools.
Click on Services, scroll down to "Fast User Switching" and
then "Start".

To access the Powertoy, use the Windows key and then the Q key. Your user
names that are currently logged on will pop up one at time. When your user
name appears, release the Q key and enter your password to access your
regular XP setup.
