W-XP V2002,SP-1; Norton SWPro V5.02
Unable to install single "patch" file to program, due
missing "MSCORE.dll" file as reported by Norton.
( ....Install Shield\Professional\Runtime\0700\Intel32
\DOTNETINSTALLEr.exe; cannot access a necessary file...as
above).

Does this make sence to anyone?!

Mscoree.dll is part of the .NET framework for Windows.
Go to Add/Remove and remove the .NET framework there.
To reinstall .NET Framework go to:
www.microsoft.com/net or from the Windows Update Site.
