getting program files

I'm having a problem with downloading my compaq flat bed scanner. In the system files it's got it a couple times and it's got it where there are question marks and they are yellow. So I know that I need to take them off but not sure how and I need to get t
hem off so that I can download the proper way for Window's XP. If anyone out there can help me it would be much appreciated.
I'm at a loss on how to do it. I know that it shouldn't be that difficult if someone could just give me a lead on it and I can do the rest. thanks Dawn.

Go back to the Device Manage and right-click the scanner and choose the delete it from the computer. Now, you can reinstall the drivers if you have them, or download the Win XP driver from the scanner's website. I hope that helps.
