Hi all,

Not quite sure where to post this sort of request, so apologies if this is
not appropriate.

I need to install a filter on a client's home machine that has a 9 year old
boy who surfs the Net and reaches into pornographic sites. The parents do
not want to disable the Net access, but want to have some control over what
sites he can get to.

Can anyone suggest some products that have a certain amount of filter
control?

Thanks

Nate

you can also use internet explorer's built-in filter, called "content
advisor". this is accessed via the internet properties page, on the
'content' tab. for more info, type in "content advisor" in internet explorer
help.

Visit www.peacefire.org to see how the filters work. The parents
should be informed about what sites these filters prevent access to
based on political views. Short example - NOW, Catholic Charities,
pro-abortion sites, anti-abortion sites.

Liberal parents might feel more comfortable with some packages, while
conservative parents would feel more comfortable with others.

None work even close to 100%. All block legitimate sites such as mayo
clinic and university health departments due to words such as breast.
