We recently purchased 2 new computers that utilize the xp
version of windows. We have notced that if you load a
program while logged in under a specific user name it
only puts the shortcut icons on the desktop of that
individual user and not all of the users. How do we
correct this and have it available for all users?

I believe that when you install most programs as an administrator, it will
put shortcuts on the desktops of all users. But some applications don't
automatically put shortcuts on the desktop when installed.

You can always navigate to the application and right click to send a
shortcut to the desktop. Each user can do this for the applications they
want on their desktop.

But I'm pretty new to XP, perhaps someone more experienced could help more.

Brad.
