View Full Version : Q How do I stop IE from attaching emailed links?

Hello all,

Just upgraded to XP and while surfing the web I like to use the email
button on top and 'send link to' friends. However, since a security
update a while back, the links are now automatically 'attached' to the
email. (basicly braking this handy feature)

I would like to hack the registry to enable the links to be in the
BODY of the message, which to me is more "user friendly" for the
recipient. I think my friend will have to do this 'hack' on his end as
well.

Thank you

Pluvious

Hi,

It wasn't an update, this was by design of IE/OE6. If you don't want to send
it as an attachment, just copy/paste the URL into the body of the email.
There is no "hack" that I am aware of to overcome this.
