I am having a hard time with Windows XP. My Windows
crashed on my computer, so I had to purchase a new one. I
had a friend who was able to get my data from my old one,
and save it on a CD. I would like to do my upgrades & it
says you need to back up your info first. When I went
into Backup, it says to use a floppy, but I would like to
do it on CD's. It suggests you do a complete backup in
case you need to restore. Is this necessary? I have my
CD from my other computer. I had to go out & purchase
QuickBooks Pro 2003 & that's another whole story. I quess
all I need to really copy is any current info in
Quickbooks & Microsoft Works. Is this correct?

Thank You,
Karen

Cannot use Backup Program to backup data to a CD.
Where says to backup to floppy, click on Browse
If says Insert disk in Floppy, click cancel and continue
to browse to where want to save on HD. Can create new
folder or choose another partition. When info backed up on
HD, then burn to CD. Also check here for more precise info.

Two very good softwares for making images and storing images to CDs are
Drive Image and Ghost. Both work very well.
