I have set up one account and I set it as limited instead
of as administrator. Now I do not know how I can set this
feature to a default where I can correct this. I am locked
out of everything. How do I change this. Help would be
appreciated. Thanks

XP has a built in default Administrator account just for situations like
this. How you access this account depends on whether you have XP Pro or XP
Home.

For XP Home reboot the system and when it begins to initialize, start
pressing the F8 key until a menu appears. Select the Safe Mode option. In
the log in dialog box, type Administrator and press the ENTER key for the
password. Go to Control Panel/User Accounts and change your account from
Limited to Administrator.

For XP Pro, reboot and when the Log In screen appears, press CTRL+ALT+DEL
twice. Select the Administrator account and press ENTER for the password. Go
to Control Panel/User Accounts and change your account from Limited to
Administrator.
