View Full Version : Problem with Word

I use Word often and so far, haven't had a problem. I should say that I am
a complete novice with zero technical skills, so I could do with a bit of
mentoring. Yesterday we installed a new high speed internet server, and
later on when I went to open Word, right in the middle of the page is this
white oblong. It has notches denoting borders left and right, but they are
immoveable. I typed in the square which used New Roman Type, size 12, and
it was just like dots. Size 28 is not as big as these letters now.

So, I don't know what I've done. Called the ISP techsupport and they said
they have never heard of this before, and it was not caused by their
hardware or softward or whatever these installation discs are called. He
more or less said I have accidentally done something to Word. Probably
he's right. I know the guy thought I was an idiot, because I don't have
any technospeak. (made up word)

Is there anybody out there can help me please? Thank you so much in
advance, Elisabeth

Try opening Word and select Help / Detect and Repair. The repair may fix the
problem.

If no joy, you might want to post your message to one of the MS Word
newsgoups.
