I recently formated my hard drive with the hopes of
installing windows xp pro. Every time I try to install xp
I get to the point where there is only 34 minutes
remaining in the install and it freezes. I need help.

Format the drive and then remove every adapter card except your video (e.g
sound, lan and modems) set the bios to the defaults and just run one cd-rom
and one hard drive if you have two of each. ( Some people even turn off the
onboard USB and printer and serial ports) If you have more then one stick of
mem then remove all except one. Mem is very important in XP so if one is NFG
it will bring the system down

Also make sure you have proper ventilation in the case for cpu cooling and a
good 400w power supply.

After the first boot of XP start to add one adapter card at a time and start
to adjust the bios setting untill you find the culprit.

one question do you have an NVIDIA card? if so use a friends until you have
a good driver..
