View Full Version : Flushing the ARP Cache

I have two laptops and one desktop on a wireless home
network. One laptop (XP Home) recognizes the shared
folders and can access the desktop and be accessed by the
desktop. The other (XP Pro) cannot be accessed by the
other laptop or the desktop but can access the desktop.
Strangely, the Shared Folders recognized by the laptop
w/XP Pro are different than the ones recognized by the
laptop w/XP Home. When I run the Repair this Connection
function on the XP Pro laptop I get a prompt saying "The
following steps of the repair operation failed: Flushing
the ARP Cache."

Any suggestions

I think you can ignore the ARP cache error. We'll need some more details on
the errors you are getting while trying to share files.
