Mcafee Virusscan 7.0 install problems xp pro

Have tried for several weeks with email help from McAfee to install
VirusScan 7.0 on XP Pro. When trying to install VirusScan I get an
error-must remove previous version of VirusScan on system. McAfee
sent a 3 page email support message-followed their instructions 3
times and no help-all they did is send the same message back. Now I
find out I can not return the program to buy.com.

Well folks-IMHO-buy another virusscan package-this one is not worth
the hassle.

Not sure, but might be worth a try, if you charged purchase on a charge card
at buy.com that when you get statement you call cc company, followed up by a
letter putting item into dispute. Of course you must save your emails from
McAfee etc..
