Show Boot Menu/

Is there a way to show the boot menu (like in Win98/ME) on start up?
so that "normal", "safe mode" etc can be selected.

To see the Boot menu in XP,

As soon as you see the Post screen, start tapping the F8 key,
There is no default screen for the start menu like there was on Win98/Me.
